My Story
I am a pediatric nurse practitioner and a mother to two spirited little ones who challenge and inspire me every day! I achieved my Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of Washington and I am board certified in pediatric primary care (CPNP-PC) and pediatric primary care mental health (PMHS). I am also actively working towards obtaining my professional credentials as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) from the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and ADHD Life Coach Certification (CALC) from the International ADHD Coach Training Center
One day, while reviewing an ADHD assessment for a patient, it occurred to me that I could relate to nearly every question on on the questionnaire. My initial reaction was ‘no way!’. But after seeking an official evaluation and receiving my own diagnosis for ADHD, I began to view ADHD from a personal lens. As a result I gained a deeper understanding of my own story and the challenges I face each day.
Realizing the way my ADHD brain works hasn’t erased the difficulties, but it has spurred me to discover ADHD specific resources and tools, a deeper understanding of my strengths and challenges, and a connection to an incredible community. It also ignited a passion to help children and families facing similar challenges. Thus Uplift ADHD Clinic was born. I look forward to meeting you here!
Beyond my professional work and discovery of ADHD, I love spending time outside with my wonderful family, snuggling with our sweet golden retriever lab puppy, and sipping that perfect cup of coffee that has the ability to turn every day around.
